WHO TO CALL AFTER CAR ACCIDENT IN THE MENIFEE AREA?

  • If you or anyone else needs immediate medical assistance call 911

  • If you or anyone else were injured in an auto accident on a freeway/highway* and it is not an emergency, call the non-emergency CHP line: (951) 506-2000

*Areas include: Interstate 15, Interstate 215, State Route 74, State Route 79, State Route 371, hundreds of miles of unincorporated county roadways.

  • If you or anyone else were injured in an auto accident that occurred within Menifee City limits and NOT on a freeway/highway and it is not an emergency, call the non-emergency Sheriff Department line (Menifee Police Department): (951) 677-4964

 

Please note: When you are in an auto accident you may not feel the pain immediately. Your adrenaline is pumping and many injuries don't hurt until later. This doesn't mean that you are not injured 

  • If you or anyone else were NOT AT ALL injured in an auto accident that occurred within Menifee City limits and NOT on a freeway/highway and it is not an emergency, you can report it online: https://www.cityofmenifee.us/COPRS

Use this if you were not injured and there is only minor damage to the vehicles

If you are involved in a vehicle accident that occurred in California, you must report it to DMV if:

  • There was property damage of more than $750 or

  • Anyone was injured (no matter how minor) or

  • Anyone was killed.

Each driver must make a report to DMV within 10 days, whether you caused the accident or not and even if the accident occurred on private property. Mail the completed report form to the address on the form.
