Car and motorcycle accidents are not just “accidents”, they are caused by someone’s negligence. The person who caused the car accident should have been driving in a safe and reasonable manner. However, many people who cause car accidents were inattentive, texting or using their phone, not driving behind the vehicle in front of them at a safe distance, they ran a red-light or did enter the roadway at a safe time. When someone does not drive safely and causes an accident, then they were the at fault party. As such, the victim should be compensated for their injuries suffered as a result of the at fault party not driving safely.
If you were injured in a car accident, call the CHP or local law enforcement immediately. If you need immediate medical care call 911. Law enforcement officers should write a collision report which can be used to help negotiate your car or motorcycle accident case. If you are injured, seek medical attention. Go to the hospital or urgent care to make sure there are no serious injuries. Many car accident victims may then seek treatment with a chiropractor or physical therapist to recover from soft tissue injuries.
Injuries from car accident victims vary and every case is unique. Call Menifee attorney Kris Crawford today to discuss your car accident. There are no attorney fees unless you get paid. Don’t go through this alone, call Menifee car accident attorney Kris Crawford and get the compensation you deserve. We will treat you like a person and not like a paycheck.

DO I HAVE A PERSONAL INJURY CASE?There are plenty of variables that can affect whether you have a viable personal injury case. Liability, extent of injuries, medical treatment, pain and suffering are just a few factors we consider in a personal injury case. We offer a free consultation to determine whether you have a case.
-
HOW MUCH DOES A PERSONAL INJURY ATTORNEY CHARGE?We work on a contingency fee basis, meaning there are no upfront costs and you only pay once you receive your money. Our typical fee is 1/3 of the total recovery for cases that settle out before litigation (most common). For example, in most soft tissue injury cases that settle for $30,000.00, our fee would be $10,000.00 and all the medical providers usually get around 1/3 as well and so the client would net (pocket) $10,000.00.
-
WHAT COSTS CAN BE EXPECTED?There are costs associated with your case that we get charged from other businesses to get things like medical records, billing, collision reports and policy trace info. Normally the fees are less than $100.00. However, we DO NOT charge you for postage, and interviewing you about the facts of your case like some other law firms do. If the case needs to be litigated other costs and fees will come up such as court filing fees, process serving fees, deposition fees, expert witness fees etc.
-
WHAT IS MY CASE WORTH?What is the worth of my case is one of the most frequent queries posed by prospective clients. The standard response to this query is "It really depends." Since every personal injury claim is unique, there can be a large range of values associated with the case value. Claims for personal injuries are predicated on actual physical harm brought on by the defendant's carelessness. Your total value of your cases includes compensation for things like medical bills, loss of earnings and past and future pain and suffering. The amount you receive can be capped to the amount of insurance coverage available too.
-
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GET PAID?If your case settles without the need for a lawsuit, the average time to get paid is within 2 months from the last date you received medical attention. During those two months we obtain the last medical records and bills and finish you demand and send the demand out. Then it takes about 30 days to receive a response to our demand. If all goes well, the negotiations may only take a day or so. However, sometimes negotiations can take longer and may even require us to file a lawsuit to get the fair compensation you deserve. Once we have agreed on a settlement amount and the client has signed the release, it usually takes 1 to 2 weeks to receive the check.
-
HOW DO I GET PAID?We will receive a check from the insurance company (or defendant) and deposit the check into a client trust account. Then we write you a check, all the medical providers a check and pay ourselves out of the funds received. You can either come by our office to pick up your check or we can mail it to you too.
-
CAN I GET MEDICAL TREATMENT WITHOUT PAYING UPFRONT COSTS?Yes, you can find medical providers that work on a medical lien basis. A medical lien is a legally binding contract with a health care provider that agrees to perform their services with the understanding that payment will be made after you resolve your Personal Injury claim. By agreeing to a medical lien, the health care provider performs their services without expecting immediate payment. The provider receives their payment once you receive a settlement or a court award.
-
WHY DOESN'T THE INSURANCE COMPANY PAY FOR MY MEDICAL TREATMENT WHILE MY CASE IS PENDING?The defendant/insurance company may be responsible to pay for your medical treatment, but not as you incur them. Instead, your expenses are included in the settlement amount received for the accident. Until the claim is resolved, you are responsible for the payment of all expenses. If you have health insurance coverage, your health insurance will likely cover the medical expenses from the accident. However, you remain responsible for any copays and deductibles. Additionally, your health insurance company will expect reimbursement of any medical expenses it covered related to the accident when you receive your settlement award.
